Igor Almeida Figueiredo (born October 11, 1977) is a Brazilian professional snooker player.
He received a wild card onto the main tour for 2010/2011, having been a runner-up to Alfie Burden in the 2009 IBSF World Championship.[1] He also competed on the PIOS tour where he finished 12th in the rankings after the eight events. Prior to competing in these events Figueiredo had only played on 10-foot tables.[2]
In his first major ranking event, the Shanghai Masters, Figueiredo beat Jamie O'Neill 5–4 and David Gilbert 5–4 (despite being docked a frame for forgetting his cue).[3] His run ended in the last 64 losing 5–1 to Fergal O'Brien. He also qualified for the televised stages of the World Open, losing 0–3 in the third round to Mark Williams.
As a result of his strong start to the season, Figueiredo is set to retain his Main Tour place for the 2011/2012 season.
